I mean, everyone here complaining about GOOGL just a few months ago. Honestly some people here need to just head over to the various "r / \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_bets" subs...

I self manage, but am in need of a rebalance. I do realize this is an aggressive portfolio for a person my age. Any suggestions to improve is welcome. If I had to choose a strategy it would be income (although I reinvest dividends) & growth. I do have enough income to more than cover my expenses.

Three biggest holdings: AAPL, NVDA, GOOGL/GOOG. FML.

Yeah. I'm no longer investing in USD outside of POET. I'm holding on to GOOGL, NVDA and TSM. I'll eventually sell em off, no direct investments anymore into these stocks. POET was on TSX under PTK. Only recently changed from TSX to NASDAQ. I'll look into switching brokerage for POET since its USD now.

Hey all. Pretty new at investing still. I had like 19 holdings and tried spreading 960 CAD across them. I felt like I was spreading way too thin. I sold off my portfolio except for NVDA, GOOGL, TSM, POET. I am holding on to those. I am no longer pumping cash into them, except for POET.
I'm leaning towards more of a laid back set it and forget it. I have a biweekly reoccuring 480 CAD spend across XEQT, TEC, FBTC, and POET. Looking for some thoughts and feedback.

Because it was so low compared to the rest of the MAG 7 on a P/E basis, yet produced so much profit + plus the full vertical stack for AI readily available in-house, coupled with the fact that OpenAI is trash and the fact that it was even in conversation to usurp GOOGL was laughable. It also helped that everyone on WSB and r/stocks was crying about it dumping even more led me to believe we're going to have another $META moment in 2022. Using the majority opinion on Reddit and doing the opposite can be a good strategy or at least a nudge in the right direction; most people overreact and that's when you want to buy, when there's that heightened level of fear (of course, you balance out the risk of going "all in" with LEAPS or shares to lessen time decay or avoid it all together).

NVDA and GOOGL do some nasty shit few days in a row - huge dildos at open and then fade / big dump whole day. poor call buyers.

On the other side, GOOGL spent so much in CapEx, and still about to surpass AAPL in terms of the market cap. Additionally, GOOGL's balance sheet, income, and cash flow have not been affected negatively.

GOOGL AND AMAZON GOING PLACES THIS YEAR

Don't believe in the efficient market hypothesis. The market can remain irrational for quite some time. I made an epic amount accumulating GOOGL the last few years because fear spread through the market that somehow GOOGL wasn't the best in the world at AI still. Everyone trashing Google saying they're falling behind OpenAI and their moat has been destroyed. Anyone who paid attention to the space and what was actually going on knew this was nonsense and accumulated shares as the market traded Google down to absurd valuations like 17x trailing earnings.
AMD is in a similar boat right now. The market is fearful and doesn't really understand the technology AMD is going to bring to the table later this year. Not only that, they actually ignore AMD's strength and the excellent growth in their core CPU business because they only look at AI data center. AMD is set up for a massive GOOGL style rally the next few years.
