I am a 29 years old software engineer (male/unmarried). I have been researching for quite some time to restructure my portfolio. I have an investment horizon for around 10 years. Knowing that I have a demanding career and its often not possible to stay upto date with the market, I am trying to structure my portfolio in a certain way which will allow me to get high returns along with downside protection, by putting minimum effort to follow the market. Here is the strategy :
1. **Core (50%) -** This section will target for getting safe market like returns. Since I do not want to confuse myself with nifty 50, or nifty next 50 I am going for the entire nifty 500. This is like a no brainer section.

*Motilal Oswal Nifty 500 Index - 25%, for tracking the entire market*
*Parag Parik Flexi Cap - 25%, for safe returns with downside protection*
2. **Satellite (40%)** \- This section will focus on growth with calculated risk. It will comprise mainly of active small caps, thematic funds, US stocks etc.
*Motilal Oswal Midcap 150 Index Fund - 10%, for targeting midcap sector*
*Quant Active Small Cap Fund - 5%, high risk high reward*
*Nippon India Active Small Cap - 5%, risk with some downside protection*
*Mirae Asset Global X Artificial Intelligence & Technology ETF FoF - Not final yet*
*Some extra buffer here*
3. **Moonshot (10%)** \- This is the extremely high risk high reward section, where I will put only that much money which I am ready to lose.
*Crypto Bluechips - 1%*
*NFO for global ETFC - Not final yet*
*Penny stocks, sectoral bets - Not final yet*
*Some extra buffer here as well*
This Core-Satellite-Moonshot strategy will target to grow my portfolio beyond market. Its like a blend of minimalistic investment and smart diversification. So if I want to increase my risk appetite I can just reduce the core weightage and increase the satellite or moonshot weightage, and vice versa.

**Please note** : the above portfolio has some overlapping ( like having both nifty 500 index and nifty midcap 150 index) and this is intentionally done, since midcap 150 has higher weightage on midcap stocks rather than nifty 500 index which has more weightage on large cap stocks. Also the two active small caps are for two different reasons as mentioned.
I am still new to investment and trying to learn everyday alongside my job. I come from a very humble background and the first one in my family to get into investment (mutual fund, stocks, crypto). I have absolutely no one around to guide me through this journey. Any kind of suggestions regarding strategy or fund selection will be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
