I'm not sure maybe you can try the AIA portal and see the fund value. There might be a way to withdraw the amount. Or at least you need to download the form and send it to them.

Hello OP, unfortunately for VULs di totoo ung matatapos ung bayarin kahit na sinabing 10 years to pay lang siya. Ang assumption/projection na pinapakita madalas ng mga nagbebenta ung VUL ung best case scenario, meaning laging pataas at kumikita ung investment sa VUL kaya kahit 10 years lang magbayad ok na un to sustain the insurance and other charges. Pero sa totoong buhay hindi un nangyayari and mas malaki chance na lugi pa ang so called “investment” and in the future kailangan mong magbayad ulit para lang di mawala insurance coverage.
Personally I discontinued paying my VUL when I found out na ganun na nga ang mangyayari. At that timeI looked for alternatives from different companies, got myself an AIA Critical Protect 100 dahil gusto ko ung coverage sa 100 minor and critical illness and also an AIA All-in-one para naman sa life, accident, and total and permanent disability para covered lahat.
You can start asking for quotations from different companies to compare and decide if cocontinue mo pa rin current plan mo or shift to whole life insurance or term. Ung mga nabanggit ko are called whole life insurance, until age 100 ang coverage pero 20 years lang, guaranteed ung coverage and cash surrender value (pera na naiipon) kaya di na kakailanganin magbayad after 20 years.

Depends on your age but if 20s-early 30s, it’s possible to get an insurance with ₱2k premium per month. The paying period would be 20yrs though. Check AIA Critical Protect 100.

Hello OP, to determine kung good ang isang product best to compare it with offers from other insurance companies. Isa sa pinakamahal na CI plan and SFW so sure na may makikita kng more affordable offer in the market.
If you want na maraming covered na illnesses pwede ang AIA Critical Protect 100 or Axa Health Max. Whole life insurance din kaya covered up to age pero pwedeng bayaran within 10 or 20 years. If gusto naman halos all bases covered, option ang AIA Max Protect na may life insurance, critical illness, personal accident, hospital income benefit, and total & permanent disability. Pwedeng bayaran ng 10 years or pay up to age 65 na parang term insurance pero whole life insurance.

Hi OP! This is a traditional comprehensive traditional plan for critical illness coverage. Compared to their products in the market, the premium for this is slightly higher. Riders are optional. You may also compare it to AIA Critical Protect 100 (ACP 100) or AXA Healthmax under AXA Philippines.
May I know kung may company HMO kayo?

What kind of coverage are you looking for? What are your goals and priorities?
I’m an advocate of health insurance so I will suggest to get critical illness coverage, like AIA Critical Protect 100, and HMO, like Medicard (if you don’t have one yet).

Hello OP, how much ang coverage ng HMO sa company niyo? If you think it is enough naman to cover for hospitalization expenses the next one to get is a critical illness (CI) insurance. Critical illness kasi ung usually unexpected and would cost more and most of the time di kayang ecover ng HMO lang.
Best option for a health insurance are whole life policies. Maganda kasi sa mga whole life like the term implies buong buhay covered ka na for CI, which usually happens during older age, pero gaya ng mga ibang comment dito meron na din nagkakaroon during their 30s or 40s. Maganda ng may safety net early on para na din protection at di magalaw naiipon na assets if something happens. Example ng comprehensive critical illness insurance include AIA Critical Protect 100 and Axa Health Max, other companies meron din pero both are the most affordable in the market. Coverage na until age 100 pero payment can be made for 10 or 20 years lang. If gusto naman covered pati accident, meron AIA Max Protect na may life insurance, 10 common critical illness, personal accident, and total & permanent disability insurance.

Not Sunlife. SKL, I just surrendered my AIA policy from BPI today. 8 years ko sya binayadan, muntik pa oong magdalawang isip kasi sabi ni FA sayang daw and pwede magpartial, tapos may 10% surrender fee pa na ibabawas. Pero mung kinompute ko almost 100K na yung nawala sa total ng hulog ko for 8 years. Kinuha ko din naman sya talaga for emergency purposes and not entirely for savings..pero ayun nga anlaki pa din ng nawala
