[NYSE halt tracking page is seeing some glitches (or possible just odd behavior) over the last few days. (Posted 9/30)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/xsk7kf/nyse_halt_tracking_page_is_seeing_some_glitches/)
[Market Wide Limit Up Limit Down (LULD halts) significantly higher than normal. Over 100 halts today on 28 different tickers. (posted on August 2)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/wen9gm/market_wide_limit_up_limit_down_luld_halts/)
[An analysis of every stock that had an LULD halt between Jan 27 and Jan 29 of last year. (posted 4 months ago)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/vcsnj2/an_analysis_of_every_stock_that_had_an_luld_halt/)
>Adding a further TLDR per mod request; LULD halts are volatility halts on a specific ticker that halt trading for a minimum of 5 minutes on that ticker. Several months ago I realized that the NYSE records all the halts that happen every trading day and save them on a website. So knowing this, I wondered if I could possibly find other tickers that had a significant number of halts between Jan 27 and Jan 29 of last year. When I looked at the data, I found a lot of the usual suspects and a few other tickers that hadn't really been discussed previously very much as possible swap basket stocks. I also found that, while the volume of halts did spike in that period last year, the highest period by far in the available data was in mid March 2020 (the COVID crash). So I theorized that halts are likely correlated to market volatility and may provide an alternative metric to VIX.A few weeks ago I made a post going into detail about some possible glitchy behavior I was seeing on the NYSE tracking page. Starting 9/29 the final halt resume time of the day started behaving oddly. Typically, the final resume time is either 16:00:00 or 16:00:01 EST and is posted to the site within 2 minutes of the closing bell. 9/29 took over 5 minutes if not 10 for the final times to be posted, but the time listed was normal. Then on 9/30 there was a halt that didn't end until 16:23:15, which was the 5th latest resume since August 2019. 10/3 had the same behavior as 9/29. 10/4 didn't have a halt going into after hours. 10/5 had a halt that didn't end until 16:10:46. 10/6 and 10/7 both had normal resume times (16:00:00 and 16:00:01 respectively). There were no active halts going into after hours trading in any of the five days last week. There was one halt Monday going into after hours trading, but it resumed at 16:00:00, I don't know if it was delayed in posting or not since I wasn't awake at that time. There were halts going into after hours trading Thursday and Friday, Thursday's halt went a bit later than normal, but Friday's resumed at 16:00:00 which is normal. Monday also had a halt going in to the after hours, but it also resumed at 16:00:00 EST. There were no halts going into after hours yesterday. Today had 1 halt going into after hours, but it resumed at 16:00:00 EST like normal.
Ok, now that that is out of the way, I have continued monitoring the [NYSE page that tracks halts](https://www.nyse.com/trade-halt-current). Thursday had the first halt going into After Hours in a while (last time was on 10/17). The official resume time was 3:30 into after hours which is fairly late (most LULD halts are resolved by 16:00:00 or 16:00:01 EST). Out of the 800 days I have data for, only 33 days had a halt with a later resume time. [On Wednesday, there was an issue where the final halt wasn't showing up on the .csv file.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/ye7slk/halts_back_down_10_halts_on_9_tickers_down_from/) Friday, Monday and today all had a halt going into the after hours, but the official resume time was 16:00:00 which is normal. There was no halt going into after hours yesterday.
There were no tickers with more than 2 halts today, and none of the tickers that halted today halted between Jan 27 and Jan 29 of last year.

GME is still the only true play, I am not suggesting that anyone invest in other companies, I am simply tracking market halts as a metric for volatility.
All the following have consistent spacing on the X axis (ignoring weekends) except for the two distribution charts at the end that don't list numbers of halts that haven't happened during the period observed.
