These changes are infrastructure-level. Most users don’t feel or care about them unless they’re devs or validators. The market doesn’t reward backend improvements unless they unlock visible growth (TVL, users, dApps, etc.).
Algorand’s tech is overbuilt for how underutilized it is. Foundation funds were wasted on vanity partnerships (FIFA, drone racing, etc.) rather than creating incentives for developers, liquidity, or sticky user engagement.
Now that those funds are lower, the margin for error is smaller. They must pick winners and bootstrap dApps effectively, or this dies slowly. Without an explosion in on-chain activity, Algorand becomes just a fast USDC settlement layer, not a thriving ecosystem.

Interesting , the main reason I’m attracted to ALGO is cause of the fast speed and USDC transfer from COINBASE to ALGO with no fees . I have noticed TVL being real low for anything besides ALGO and USDC and was looking for alternatives as well but I still like this blockchain a lot . I’ve heard a lot of Solana Transactions not going through and massive Rug Pulls and Shitcoins to keep me uninterested in them and ETH just having High Fees to be invested a ton in them .

TLDR: The video demonstrates how to use OpenZeppelin’s monitor to analyze the Stellar network and track USDC transfers. It explains the setup of the OpenMonitor tool and how to configure it for monitoring specific functions like USDC transfers in the Stellar ecosystem. Notifications are set up to be sent to Telegram as live updates.

I'm having this same issue right now with USDC on solana and setting up a coinbase wallet did not help. Any other tips to help me receive USDC on sol?

Coinbase is ridiculous. It's funny I started in crypto thru them and this is my journey:
1.) Started with Coinbase. Loved how user-friendly it was.
2.) I can't withdraw my funds because of a hold!? Guess I'll wait.
3.) Unstaking takes 1+ week!? Guess I'll wait.
4.) I'm subbed to Coinbase One for $30/month and there's still some fees!?
\---
What do I use Coinbase for nowadays?...
1.) I send my ETH USDC to Coinbase then withdraw to convert to USDC SOL to avoid a bridging fee.
That's pretty much all I use it for.

Do you want to keep custody of it yourself? WIll you trust a CEX to hold it for you?
If you wanna take custody of your own coins (comes with risks, if you make a mistake during or after the process, there is no way or institutiojn to get your money back.)
If you wanna be safe, and trust a CEX to hold your money for you, I suggest using Binance, easy straightforward and everyone uses it.
If you wanna hold custody of your own coins, (which i suggest this because I lost a lot of money because I trusted my money with a CEX and they went bankrupt…)
I suggest buying a trezor cold wallet, then moving your funds there. But you need to use CEX to buy USDC anyway so i suggest Binance again. Or Kraken if you wanna be extra safe.
I keep most of my money in USDC on ETH network on my trezor. A big chunk in Binance and a medium chunk of it in Kraken. All in crypto or USDC.

Bazaars developed an online marketplace, [Bazaars.app](http://bazaars.app/), that lets you sell and buy products with crypto. All you need to do is connect your Metamask or WalletConnect and pay! The marketplace accepts USDT, USDC, or ETH. BTC soon!
If Bazaars pull it off like Amazon, I can't imagine the price of $BZR!

That’s a solid plan, and it’s great that you’re thinking ahead. You have two main ways to cash out your altcoins into USDC. The first method is to do everything on a decentralized exchange (DEX). You would first swap your altcoin to ETH using a DEX like Uniswap. Then, you can swap the ETH to USDC directly on the same or another DEX. After that, you can hold the USDC in your wallet, or bridge it to a cheaper network like Arbitrum or Polygon to save on gas fees.
The second method is to use a centralized exchange (CEX). In this case, you would still start by swapping your altcoin to ETH on a DEX. Then, you would send the ETH to a centralized exchange like Coinbase or Binance. Once it arrives, you can swap it to USDC there. This option is often cheaper and faster, especially for larger amounts, and it also gives you more trading options.

Yes it's definitely possible - select a well known and we'll respected token (e.g. USDT, USDC, Solana, Avax etc) and check if both sites have the same token and most importantly, that they're in the same Network.
Example:
Transfer USDT from your Binance wallet on the Solana Network.
Receive USDT into your Kraken wallet which is also on the Solana Network.
Do a test transfer with a small amount of token value just to be sure you're able to receive your tokens. And even after your test transfer, consider transferring your tokens in small batches to reduce risk

Dunno… I’m currently getting APR plus TINY on my LP and farm. I suppose we might just get TINY unless there is a workaround.
Still do not understand the logic since the treasuries that back the USDC are yield producing. One of reasons to push stablecoins is that they will buy the treasuries no one else wants in the near future.
I’d rather go with a “somewhat” stable like gold or silver than USDC if I can get good yield.

I don't know what your mortgage rates would be but defi borrow rates can flip wildly and quickly. Where I live, mortgages are around 7%. Which is a lot vs the past but like defi borrow rates on USDC are anywhere between like 5% and 10% any given day. Rarely less than that but not rare to be more than that. You might not be saving as much as you'd think.
But assuming you do the math and it checks out fine, sure why not? One thing though, the exchange you cash out with, the bank you transfer to, and the seller you buy from are definitely going to be throwing up red flags and freezes on you trying to move $300k cash through personal accounts. That's like red flag city. It's crypto so you should have the documentation to show it's legit but I imagine everyone is going to assume this isn't legit by default.

This could be an irrelevant comment but to place a limit order on Coinbase advanced I had to buy and use USDC first to buy xrp or anything for that matter first which I thought was silly

It's not a bad idea aslong as your okay with the risks, it's not like your going into debt so you just risk forced liquidation at bad prices. As long as you're okay with potential liquidation and understand how Stablecoin depegging (or wrapped coins) can also liquidate you in extreme situations not just the prices of crypto falling, and of course bad actors whether it's oracle price manipulation, hacking or exploiting the protocol into bad debt.
I lend on Suilend and Moonwell and have borrowed USDC on multiple occasions for emergencies, I would use Aave but I use Moonwell only because I can earn interest on VIRTUALS
