**Remember when Bitcoin could be mined on a regular PC?**
When there were no ASICs, no giant farms, and every block felt like a small victory?
That era is long gone…
But *Bitcoin II (BC2)* was launched to bring it back — **same codebase, same spirit, new beginning.**
# ⚡ What Is Bitcoin II?
Bitcoin II is a **reboot of the original Bitcoin blockchain**, rebuilt from scratch using the same SHA-256 Proof-of-Work algorithm — but with:
* **Difficulty reset to 1** → anyone can mine again with a CPU.
* **Same total supply:** 21 million coins.
* **Same halving mechanism:** scarcity built in.
* **Same codebase & transparency** → open source on GitHub.
* **New Genesis Block:** no pre-mine, no hidden supply.
👉 It’s not a “copy” of Bitcoin.
It’s a **sister chain** — a fair restart for those who missed the early days.
# ⛏️ Why Miners Love It
* CPU mining actually *works* — no ASICs required.
* Real SHA-256 mining, not a toy algorithm.
* Accessible to anyone with a laptop or desktop.
* Mining guide and binaries available on the official site: 🔗 [https://bitcoin-ii.org](https://bitcoin-ii.org/)
You can literally mine your first BC2 in minutes.
# 💰 Why Investors Are Watching
* BC2 trades around **$0.50** per coin (as of now).
* Fixed supply of **21,000,000 BC2**, like Bitcoin.
* No pre-mine, no VC, no centralized control.
* Small market cap + transparent code = massive upside potential *if adoption grows.*
This isn’t another memecoin — it’s an attempt to recreate the *fairness and simplicity* that built Bitcoin’s success in the first place.
# 🌍 A Growing Community
Bitcoin II already has:
* An active Discord and Telegram community,
* Volunteers running nodes,
* Developers improving the codebase,
* And early adopters mining from home.
If you believe decentralization should *actually* mean accessible to everyone — not just ASIC owners —
then **Bitcoin II (BC2)** is your second chance to be early.

Completely avoidable. Secure your seed offline. Shard it for additional security. Use an address for savings that you don't mess with Defi. Use an address for trading. Don't sign contracts that are unknown. Don't download Phantom from unofficial source. That's it. You'll be fine, and not find yourself in OPs position.
Still best to continue reducing risk as you increase secured value:
Buy a hardware wallet and shard the seed! This protects from external threats and even yourself. Yourself being the largest threat. It's a small cost for peace of mind. Use a HW wallet and even a "hacker" controlling your PC means nothing. Need the device to sign any transaction. Could be physically attacked, house burns down, physical theft, malware, doesn't matter. HW + sharded offline seed. You're safe.

I have a Full Node running on the top of a Raspiblitz system and I want to use Sparrow Wallet through my own node. But I'm really confused on where should I install Sparrow Wallet. Should I install it on my raspberry pi 5, at the same machine where the full node is, or should I install the wallet on another machine, as a PC (my macbook) for example and connect to the node by local network using bitcoin core (remote connection when I'm on the go not allowed), or eventually install Sparrow Wallet on my macbook as a watch only wallet and connect to my node by ElectRS usind Tor and may use on the go?
I forgot to mention that I have a SeedSigner where I generated my seeds and where I can sign PSBT.
Thanks for the replies!

Yes, many do. See here for example:

Or here:

Or here, in Argentina (website shows the map only on PC):

Hi, no this is not an infected download version of TV as such, the video tutorial tells you to run a command prompt code "to update the tradingview platform to an AI version" but the command line code actually silently installs a RAT, with a legitimate remote access software package. Once installed the scammer has hidden access to your PC. No virus, no Trojan, no malware to be detected. Really sneaky, really dirty. Stay safe 👍

When PoW failed and PoS tried to supplant it.
BTC’s PoW was supposed to lay the groundwork for a truly decentralized currency that could be mined from a basic home PC (so every household could mine their own currency). It didn’t take long for PoW to breakdown to the point where it’s impossible for a lowly home PC to ever mine its own block (and would never pay back its own electricity costs if using a mining pool).
PoS plays by familiar Wall Street rules. The more money you have, the more money you make.
The only way for the average person to interact with crypto now is to trade on exchanges. No different than stocks. Buying TSLA or BTC feels no different on an app like Robonhood.
Hopefully one day someone either figures out PoW 2.0 or comes up with a better solution.
