My assumption is that it was gifted to someone for their 49th birthday and the gift giver wanted the recipient to know that they’re hot.
I’m assuming this wasn’t gifted to you and you bought it from an LCS/other?
I’m not saying you’re not fine, or 49, I just don’t know you bro.

I don't haggle with LCS, I explain the price on premiums, (I buy pre 33 only), they usually complain how they can wholesale when they typically don't know crap about recent comp sales, I offer above melt but below premium and explain the reasons, they accept or not, depends how long they been sitting on the sitting.

Don't live in a big city, LCS at least an hour, but I quit driving 1.5 hours Each Way when I worked. Not like you go every day, it's a matter of priorities. Glad I'm retired!!!

You might consider taking it to your LCS and see if they'll offer you anything for it.

My LCS owner doesn't care for foreign silver and usually puts it in his generic bin. Today was no different. Got this for $33 today.

My closest LCS is 2 hrs away. Not everyone lives in a big city with great transportation. Not everyone is equally mobile. Hell, some if us are just damned busy.
What a dumb comment.

It does happen. You can find trusted buyers on numerous such exchanges. I've used localcoinswap, don't know this other one so can't speak to it. But I know LCS is legit, though still need to take precautions, use buyers with lots of valid high ratings. Meet in a safe public place, I know one guy meets in a mcdonalds or something like that, lol. I know ppl selling/buying on facebook marketplace like to meet up in police parking lots sometimes, for safety.

That sounds right to me, 2oz gold will definitely be over Florida’s $500 no-tax threshold, even if the tax repeal hasn’t taken effect yet.
I’m not a huge fan of Goldbacks so I have no idea who regularly stocks them. You could probably just google for LCS in the Orlando area and find one that mentions Goldbacks on their website.

So basically, if I take a trip to disney orlando, go to an LCS, and buy 2 x 1oz rounds in one transaction (a buffalo and an eagle), I should only pay spot + LCS premium?
Would also like to get some goldbacks, not for stacking but more as "art" for display purposes. Premiums for them here are crazy, and they're pretty hard to get to begin with. Would LCS generally keep them stocked, or are they easy to get from online dealer within a 2 week time frame?

Went for my weekly trip the LCS. They had a roo today! Couldn't resist! Anyone else from the States prefer coins and bouillon from other countries?

Goldbacks aren't gold at scrap or near scrap prices. If you're a scrapper then the Goldback isn't for you and will feel like a ripoff. That doesn't mean that they aren't gold, although they do derive some of their demand from a network effect like other alternative currencies.
The Goldback overall is great for the precious metals space. For $3 you can turn any homeless person into someone that owns a verifiable amount of gold. Over a million people have been introduced to PM's via Goldback over the past few years alone.
Four out of Five major online gold dealers sell the Goldback alongside other gold bullion.
The premiums on the Goldback are actually fairly normal if you consider that they go to as small as 1/2,000th of an ounce. There are no other weighted gold products in that range that carry such a low cost per unit.
Goldbacks get some hate here but it feels a bit AstroTurfed at times. It often originates from LCS's that don't sell them yet.
If you've never see or held a Goldback then you could be forgiven for thinking that they are anything other than gold. You can get a free one on [FreeGoldback.com](http://FreeGoldback.com)

for Sovereigns except for rare ones (like my William IV sov) i try to limit premiums to in the 5% range (which is usually obtainable at a coin show for instance, or occasionally in an LCS since LCS's around here dont have a lot of sovs, and dont know what to do with them mostly, they get them over the counter as part of collections usually)

I sold one recently to a LCS that always has great prices and offers, and they offered me $2.00 back. I was surprised. Other places were offering $2.50-$3.00 back, but they always have poor prices so i didn't think anything of it. It has made me reconsider buying large bars.

You still need to be able to budget, and make enough money for that budget to be sustainable. Otherwise, you'll just be at the LCS or Pawn Shop selling your silver, instead of draining your bank account.
