That was from the sale of IMX tokens last year. The NFT marketplace earned basically nothing. Directly from the 10-K:
“January 2022, we entered into contractual agreements with Immutable X Pty Limited (“IMX”) and Digital Worlds NFTs Ltd. pursuant to which the Company was entitled to receive up to $150 million in digital assets in the form of IMX tokens once certain contractual milestones have been achieved. Upon announcement, we achieved our first milestone under the agreement with IMX and recognized a $79.0 million noncurrent receivable and corresponding deferred income liability related to our entitlement of IMX tokens as of January 29, 2022.”
“We liquidated all tokens received during fiscal 2022 and have no IMX token assets recorded on the Consolidated Balance Sheet at January 28, 2023.”
“Revenues earned from our digital asset wallet and NFT marketplace were not material to the consolidated financial statements for fiscal 2022.”

You’re assuming that sales won’t go up in the next year or two to balance out that they aren’t receiving more IMX tokens.
The IMX helps with initial profits and the sales follow. You think IMX would give them their tokens if they (IMX) themselves didn’t expect it to be worth it? Sales just don’t explode overnight. It takes time.

GameStop received $81.9MM in IMX tokens for a partnership milestone and sold them.
The 10-K confirms that marketplace sales are earnings from operating activities, not investing activities.
Additionally, cashflow != profit.

I need some help.
I have IMX tokens on my Ethereum L1 wallet, and I have IMX tokens on my Loopring L2 wallet.
In order to buy these new Gmerica NFTs I need teither have ETH or LRC right? How do I go about converting my IMX back to ETH or to LRC?

Sent eth from my IMX to L1 to move to L2 but it’s still not there and now the price for the Alamo is double what I was going to buy it for. Screw it. So pissed!

Don't quote me on it but I believe someone else had pointed out that the 80 mil piece was related to the IMX benchmarks. Not trying to dissuade the hype around buying nfts but I'm not entirely sure your statement is correct since you're implying it was from NFT sales.

That wasn't from the NFT Market, but from selling IMX Tokens.

I saw a post last night talking about wording in the 10-k around being forced to register as a broker (or something) because some NFTs may qualify as a security. Many speculated that this is just an ongoing battle between regulators and the crypto world.
Many games associated with GS/IMX are launching portions of their game that have earning utility for their NFTs (notably, Blocklords).
If I own NFTs that are paying me regular dividends (via renting, passive play, etc.) is it possible that the SEC would consider that a security and force GS to register as a broker?
What would it mean if GS were to be a registered broker?

The 80M are from the sale of IMX tokens, not jpegs. They make shitall from the marketplace. Last quarter's results have nothing to do with the NFT marketplace as explicitly stated in the filings.

For IMX stuff like GU cards you need ETH on Immutable layer 2 and for Gamestop stuff you need ETH on Loopring layer 2.

No. IMX isn’t a blockchain. It’s a set of APIs to help games add blockchain functionality. They announced a partnership with Polygon zkEVM at GDC.

Is this competition to IMX?

Theory: IMX= MultiPASSport to disperse NFT via email addy of recorded DRS shareholder- for legal conveyance of a dividends' issuance ...? It is a possibility... 😉 and the legal findings state from March 2019, before RC, that was GME's policy on a CASH dividend. I will not personally rule out an NFT
