I chuckle at these articles. At the end of the day DOGE is not an appreciating asset that you invest in, it’s simply just a meme coin. There is no sure direction of where DOGE will be in the next minute, hour, tomorrow, next week, or a year from now. It’s driving force is simply human obsession and impulse buying into something that’s hip or trendy. Funny thing is people still think that the trend will hold up and they’ll be rich. Yes we do have the usual end-of-the-year trendy rise and Id avise investing and taking profit for that. The reason why DOGE hasn’t changed is simply because people didn’t change their portfolios based on market changes. They simply chose not to change lol. Whether it be because they want to hold, feeling a bit frosty about the next few months, or forgot they were hodl’ing. DOGE is true gambling and unless you can catch those little trend spikes, you are literally rolling the dice. Id like to normalize. Sell-tober cause we do have a bit of a trend every year. We hit that .30 price ceiling and then we plummet to .15. Sell at .30 every single time and buy again at .15. Wrap it up and bake it again for next year, or at least until everyone starts changing their portfolios again…lol

Yes and DOGE is the OG in that respect, not PEPE. The latter isn’t even in the Top 10 of cryptos by market cap, been around as long (though you’ve dismissed that for some reason), nor has anywhere near the name recognition that DOGE does.

And keep in mind Elon now has details about his competitors’ government contracts and probably financial information thanks to DOGE. This competitive advantage benefits all his companies including TSLA.

$TROLL is getting ready for a run. With almost 50,000 holders and a growing community this meme is giving off STRONG signals of DOGE a type surge. US & China have reached a trade consensus today, this is bullish news for the market. Expecting a surge in trading this coming week. Position yourself accordingly!

Thanks for the correction. I have done my research and AFAICT the actual situation is as follows:
Miners hash Litecoin headers that precommit to a DOGE header. If hash <= DOGE but > LTC: publish DOGE via AuxPoW. If hash <= LTC: publish LTC and, if precommitted, DOGE too. Meeting LTC diff almost always also meets DOGE's easier target, so you can claim both.
After a DOGE-only win, miners drop that LTC header and roll a fresh one (PoW is memoryless). They keep hashing LTC candidates and publish LTC whenever LTC difficulty is hit. Target rates: ~60 DOGE blocks/hr vs ~24 LTC blocks/hr.
AuxPoW does not force miners to publish LTC blocks. They can mine DOGE-only; DOGE rewards do not automatically secure Litecoin. LTC security still depends on miners choosing to run LTC infra and fees/subsidy making it worthwhile.

You are looking at ‘year to date’…. Not the last year…. (As in the last 365 days)
Over the last 365 days?
XRP 376.4%
BGB 272.7%
HBAR 237.5%
XLM 221.8%
MNT 165.3%
WBT 112.5%
XMR 96.2% CRO 90.4% ADA 83.2% BNB 78.5%
GT 67.7%
TRX 66.7%
- - -
BTC 54.7%
- - -
OSETH 51.1%
ALGO 51% LINK 50.7%
LSETH 49.1 % AAVE 48.6%
ETH 47.7% KCS 40.5% XAUT 38.8%
LEO 38.5% BCH 38.3%
PAXG 38.2% DOGE 33.3%
LTC 32.3%
SUI 32.1%
ENA 20.4% FLR 15.7%
SOL 5.1%
ONDO -0.9% ETC -18.4%
UNI -22% VET -26%
PEPE -26.4% AVAX -27.9% TAO -28.4% DOT -28.4%
ATOM -32.8%
ARB -42.3% POL -44.3% SHIB -44.3%
The big advantage to holding for at least a full 365 days is there can be tax benefits like capital gains discounts, or the investment being treated as a long term capital gain instead of short term capital gains
Using CMC It looks like XRP was much closer to $0.5019 Oct 26 2024

As a whale, I use to have over 5mil DOGE portfolio. Liquidated it all into XRP at $0.30 and riding it out for the next 5 years.
Proof is on my old sub Reddit posts.

Who normal at head would invest in DOGE and expect profits or fundamentals? The whole experiment is set wrongly as the GPT is very badly fine tuned for this purpose.

You can see from the chart that the big increase in federal spending was 2019-2020, which was COVID, under Trump, afterwards inflation was crazy. This was when the inflation adjusted value of the spending dropped. At this time Biden's congress did increase federal spending nominally, but not nearly at the same rate as 2016-2020 where the rate of increase in spending was worse.
Biden's administration had reduced federal income tax receipts because it was already affected by the Trump tax cuts.
Since Trump 2, despite all the theater of DOGE, spending actually rose more, mostly due to interest on the debt which keeps rising because of a lack of balancing the books. We don't have numbers yet, some informed people say DOGE saved $160 billion, but I suspect that the actual 'savings' of DOGE might instead be a cost, as people were fired and hired back, and actual government programs might indeed cost the economy more by going missing.
And 160 billion out of 38 trillion is really small, about 0.00421052632 less than half a percent.

LTC is the by product of DOGE mining. Its only like 15% of a profitable rigs daily revenue and would make no sense to Scrypt mine without DOGE

PEPE isn’t an OG Lol, it’s literally some pump and dump shit coin. DOGE is one of the oldest cryptos after BTC and a Top 10 by market cap crypto. I don’t own it, but put some respect on that name.

Elon Musk never pumped DOGE. The surge from 0.003 to 0.09 was pumped by the wallstreetbets degenerates after their GME play finished. The blip to 0.67 was self-inflicted - a delusion that Musk was going to pump DOGE when appearing on SNL. The current DOGE price is a faint echo of the wallstreetbets pump

Successful shitcoins can outperform BTC when they are tiny/small marketcaps and they have a period of growth or big pump. From then they massively bleed to BTC over the long run.
A lot of the newer token dumps like ALGO and HBAR never even did that, they've been bleeding against BTC since Day 1 of entering the market despite the fact that they were tiny marketcaps in 2019. And the only reason they have been climbing up the Coinmarketcap rankings is massive token dumps year after year, increasing their total marketcap while the price keeps going lower and lower.

Looking over the charts, it does appear the bull run was in Q4 2024. Some alts like SOL basically double topped the previous high, others like DOGE gave a lower high as would be expected for the diminishing returns of alt coins.
Oh dear.

BTC topped already 65% higher than previous cycle. That gives 1.17$ for DOGE and this is far from end for BTC.
