I’m not on Binance — I trade on decentralized exchanges. The lowest prices I saw were around $1.50 for ATOM, $170 for SOL, and $2 for XRP.
But I’ve been reading and researching, and it seems that on Binance, all these coins suddenly dropped from their normal prices down to $0.01. That crash reportedly liquidated almost all leveraged positions, and there were buy orders ready to scoop them up at those rock-bottom prices.
This really looks like a coordinated liquidation. I’m curious — do you think this was done to make money for insiders, to hurt Binance’s reputation, or even to undermine trust in crypto and trading overall?
What’s your take on this?

Managed to scoop some ATOM near 0.5, SUI at $1 and a little bag of Vaulta at 0.15. Keeping fingers crased

I sold ATOM and CRO and bought MNT.

It was a fake dump. Wasn’t real. All fugazi. Sure some people were lucky enough to fill, but that was from panicans retail dumping. Market makers retreated because of the cascading margin calls so the bid side evaporated on most alts. ATOM went down below 1 penny from like $4+ lol

Binance is such a dumpster fire. Every major manipulative shit seems to originate from them. Yesterday atleast half a dozen coins went straight to zero on Binance, these arent like overnight memecoins or 1m sh*itters, but actual coins like ATOM, JUP, PUMP, ENJ, IOTX which have some market cap.. .all were sent to literal zero in a flash.. as if the order books were all fugazi. WBETH, a binance wrapped ETH version went to $430 from $4.2k
And thats like 2 days after CZ rugged the whole BNB chain after a public pump and dump of shitcoins, posting random memes for days in a row, watching them pump 10-20x and then after everything crashed 80-90% in hours, he pretended he had no idea and was in a meeting all day. And after everything he puts on a holier than thou image of philanthropy or doing good for the world. "Keep building"
And now already Today, Binance are manipulating a memecoin Zerebro, its up 100% for no reason, after a wallet funded from Binance took up huge onchain long positions that are up like $5m on a $50m market cap coin. Its obvious there are absolutely no controls on Binance whatsoever.
If the space has to grow this circus has to be clamped down. They are pure mercenaries that are extracting every bit of value from the space, destroying all concepts of market structure, letting their insiders ravage the market time and again

ATOM -99.5% was crazy

For ALTs, this crash hurts the most so far. Many ALTs flash crashed more than 60% and there was absolutely no signs prior this crash. Some even crashed to literally zero (eg: ATOM).

Had them since 2021. So, have bought at all different prices on all of them. My DCA for ADA isnt too high so don’t need that much of a bounce to be in profit. The other two 😬 although I’m staking ATOM and it’s compounding but we’ll see.
What is your suggestion then? I fully get you’re a stranger on Reddit but happy to hear it. I’ve got two thoughts:
1. Cut my losses and just flip nearly all to BTC now at a loss on my alts but with a long term view
2. Have more patience and flip once I make profit/breakeven

Some alts dropped to 0, lol, check ATOM on Binance, 24 hour low was 0.001. So all stop orders triggered, wonder if anyone manage have a limit order filled, that's instant 30000% gain.
And we are still chilling above 110k, bear comments are coming out again. Now is time to buy the dip.

Funny how some coins on certain exchanges went to 0 lol (example: ATOM on binance). Today was the first time i bought Crypto since mid 2022 (when i left the crypto market after BTC lost the 27-30k support). Bought DOT and UNI 😋 this has some Covid crash vibes
