Here is my 2 cents. When it comes to money spending, I don't think marketing was/is a bad investment. Awareness is a HUGE part of this whole industry. If they'd invested in a developer program, it could have produced something, but those projects are probably not going to live long anyway. Tech is evolving so fast, something cool today may be old news in just 2 years from now. The WEB3 needs to be the main focus, in my opinion, because the internet isn't going anywhere, and we might as well switch asap and see what comes out of this. I am big on these WEB3 domains and true domain ownership, for starters. I can see all apps with the capacity to be interconnected on WEB3.
Needless to say, AI is something that is absolutely exploding right now. The most amazing thing is how fast we got used to it. If someone showed us ChatGPT 15 years ago, it would have been mind-bending. Now we are starting to hear/read about new photonic processors and multi-core quantum chips. I think this is the main reason why none of these blockchains have offered us what we expected, because we are on the border of the new tech explosion that is now starting. In the near future, we'll be able to have a system that is so tightly monitored, analyzed, and managed through ridiculous amounts of calculations, it will be transformative beyond our expectations. Think about tracking weather automatically and AI analyzing the probabilities of agricultural yields, and how that will affect the supply and demand, and how that will affect demand for transportation of goods, and how that all will affect economic outcomes, inflation, and with that interest rates, and so on and on... What is now most important is that the technology of the blockchain can keep pace with this explosion, which is still unpredictable. Is this blockchain ready for the new era of supercomputers and the next generation of AI? Is ANY blockchain really ready?
My concern is the tech above anything else. All these memecoins, supply/demand, name recognition, that is all secondary. What Algorand needs now is hardcore mathematicians working on modeling the future performance potential of the network. We need a full quantum proof chain, not just past transactions, but ALL transactions. We need improved and optimized data routing, adaptable block times, and AI block size management. I am fully ok with waiting another decade or more if needed.

Like the other posts here lately, I have been attempting to withdrawal my BTC to a cold wallet after several months of accumulation.
My account has also been fr*z*n for going on 2 months now. Mind you, this is only for withdrawals as they have had no problem taking my money for recurring buys.
I have reached out for multiple updates only to be either ghosted and have to start a new ticket or asked for more personal and "phishy" sounding information.
I asked for another update today and surprisingly got a response. They are NOW asking strange questions that make me nervous as to whether they are truly from Gemini or some kind of elaborate phishing scheme.
The ones I am most concerned about are asking for personal information about my cold wallet. None of my friends who use Gemini have ever had this problem.
At this point I do not know what to do as there is no contact other than Gemini email.

With pure deflationary tokenomics, it's literally programmed.
