What caught me off guard though was just how stupid these beliefs are. It almost seems the more stupid the believe the better it works to sway the mind. Maybe because the cost of giving up this believe gets higher the more stupid it is. 🤔

It would be ANY EVM token, because it was messing with wallets. It could only mess with you if you were active with such a tool on a system it was deployed in. Sometimes, you just have to chill for a day or two.
I don't even know what network dogecoin is kept on these days, if it's still it's own original POW chain, it would have been unaffected.

Why would you think ANY form of currency would survive without Institutional adoption? Some say there is data and evidence supporting this happening now. Look at the overnight and weekend prices closely.
The ETF market is growing rapidly. A large portion of those investors cannot move money after hours or on weekends (for instance, if you buy IBIT through Schwab). There are now bitcoin holders who can trade at ANY time, and those stuck with ETFs on traditional entities like Schwab, Vanguard, Fidelity, whatever, who cannot react to market shifts overnight. But they seem to OVER react slightly, on the opening bell.
If you look at the data very closely, patterns emerge. With enough money, even very small rotations can make lots of money. It would require frequent very trading to make it wildly profitable, though. Maybe.

The CPI is based on samples of actual prices across the country. They literally send a human into a store and have a list of things to scan and price, every month. The same exact things. Beef, milk, fence posts, stray cats. Whatever.
Take that number. Say, $110 for everything on your list. Divide it by last year's number on the same date (say, $100) the CPI index leads us to a 10% inflation rate for the last year.
That is how inflation is measured using CPI. It's VERY simple.
The debate occurs over "well, did you include gas? did you include food? did you include the price of stray kittens?" CPI is the most inclusive and accurate.

So question to you. (and myself)
If we were king for a day, how would we propose to measure inflation more accurately than physically measuring the price of everything, every month, in cities and towns across the country? When you do that over and over, we get a REALLY good idea of how much prices inflate across every commodity.

Honestly, I think it's perfect. I don't want ANY measurement of inflation except that data from humans going in to stores and putting prices down in a database. Nothing theoretical, nothing based on news or anecdotes, nothing based on one city or area of the country. I like hands on.

One could argue that CPI is less comprehensive than PCEPI, which is dynamic and takes into account consumer behaviors, but then you start getting into a "softer" science. I dislike that. Give me hard numbers, please. I'm old school. :)

I'm in a similar position and I have something worthwhile (i think) to contribute to anyone reading. My mortgage is 4% IR and we have a modest home, mortgage payment is 1/6 of my take home pay. At this time, I'm not focusing on paying it off early.
This conversation always revolved around traditional finance: "your mortgage is 4% and the market returns 8%!, don't pay off your mortgage early!". At this point, I would pay off the mortgage early. If you're saving out of retirement, you will have capital gains taxes as well. PLUS there is a risk factor to having ANY debt, which people NEVER account for. PLUS there is an added "sleep better at night" with a paid off mortgage. Not all costs/pluses have to be monetary. So traditionally, when talking 8% vs 4%, pay off the mortgage. 8% vs 3%, eh, maybe?
Bitcoin has changed this equation. I can say for my own opinion, with 99% confidence, that bitcoin will return a minimum of 20% per year for the next 20 years, on average. 20% vs 4% really changes the equation. Realistically, I think it will return 39% on average starting this year and keep going down (to about 20% in 20 years). So right now, I sleep better at night knowing that extra money goes into bitcoin.

5. \*\*Verification\*\*: Triple-checked all wallet settings and security sections - no seed phrase found anywhere in the system

No. It means that ANY collateral would be junk against it. Because the value of Bitcoin is now worth a house vs an Xbox when you took the loan out. It’s worth more against almost every currency and item in the world not just “fiat”.
