AllianceBlock is a blockchain-agnostic protocol that aims to offer financial institutions and individual clients the ability to trade cryptocurrencies legally. The platform seeks to bridge traditional finance and decentralized finance ecosystems to automate the conversion of digital tokens into bankable products. The architecture of AllianceBlock's protocol is hinged on three distinct layers that, working together, facilitate the dynamic flow of data in a traceable and accountable manner that is compliant with global, national and local jurisdictions and regulations. These three layers are Data Governance, Cross-Border Regulatory Compliance, and Security Issuance & Lifecycle. Data Governance Layer: The data registry is at the heart of the Data Governance layer. Here, the typical data stored include KYC information of investors, Due Diligence information of legal entities, legal ownership statuses of digitized securities and transactional data. Every bit of data is hashed by employing IPLD-Merkle-DAG on the data before it is committed to the IPFS. Access to the registry is controlled through a Role-based Access Control (RBAC) mechanism. The RBAC module uses zero-knowledge proof validation, in the form of zk-STARK , to validate the identities of users. _ Cross-Border Regulatory Compliance Layer (CBRCL): This layer ensures compliance adherence by stakeholder entities while empowering legal and regulatory entities to monitor compliance adherence of the network participants. If a jurisdiction's legislature creates or amends a regulation, a corresponding "Compliance and Legal" entity on the protocol creates this rule which is subject to vote by other legal entities. If consensus is achieved, the regulation is pushed to the Rules engine which converts the rule into a smart contract code. This code is instantly deployed on the CBRCL and network participants will be encouraged to adhere to the new rule immediately. Security Issuance & Lifecycle Layer_: This security issuance and lifecycle layer is solely in charge of converting traditional securities, non-bankable assets and other financial products into digitized assets. Through this layer, the protocol also allows for the automation of corporate actions like dividend and coupon payments, as well as stock splits.
