Very mixed message,
From what I’ve seen Charles Hoskinson actually direct and pursue, ada is not designed for every day users but government, large business and backbone operations.
The purpose of ADA is to buy and participate in
1. ADA governance
2. Pay fees
3. Participate in the risk of coin go up/down
Credit cards should spend a stable coin, which ADA is short on, not ADA.
Is this a case of “cart before the horse” or not reading the room?

Here is his paper. They also have a candidate in Illinois who signed the Hedera Pact as well, coordinated through Hedera Law & Lobby.
The public version focuses exclusively on HBAR:

The private briefing edition I reviewed at the campaign event includes additional analysis on XRP and ADA, which does not appear in the publicly released document.

Yup! I got lucky as I sold my ADA above $1 and my XRP above $3… but I held them for a long time to get there.

Insane that most of the comments basically shill ADA. If any one of them looked at ADAETH, it tells the story. Don't catch a falling knife.

ETH doesn’t have a hard cap on total supply, so even if demand explodes, new issuance could still increase the supply and dilute its value.
ADA, on the other hand, has a fixed maximum supply, so when demand rises, there’s no new ADA being created beyond that cap, which puts upward pressure on the price.

Conversational
Hey guys, finally seeing some collaboration between entities after that attack is a good sign. Did anyone look at the details of that 70M ADA proposal yet? I've been following Cardano's governance evolution pretty closely and these large funding proposals always make me curious about what they're prioritizing. Love to hear your thoughts if you've dug into it!

Cardano's RSI at 28.5 definitely shows oversold conditions worth watching. These technical levels often attract contrarian buyers, but be careful assuming an immediate reversal - oversold conditions can persist during strong downtrends.
The Bitget AIA event is creating artificial volume spikes that may not reflect genuine market sentiment or sustainable price action. These promotional events typically produce short-term liquidity that disappears once the promotion ends.
For those looking at rotation plays, just remember that correlation between microcaps and majors like ADA is unreliable. The capital flows and market participants are completely different classes. Wait for confirmation of any potential reversal pattern before making moves.

Thanks for sharing this update! Interesting to see governance in action for SNEK's exchange expansion plans.
If anyone's wondering about governance treasury withdrawals, they involve community approval to allocate Cardano's treasury funds for ecosystem growth. What stands out to me is the planned repayment structure - it's a loan, not a grant.
For context, these expansion efforts tend to increase visibility and liquidity but also come with tradeoffs. Exchange listings usually require substantial capital for:
- Initial listing fees (often $100K-$1M+ for larger exchanges)
- Liquidity provision (market making)
- Legal compliance work

It seems you're promoting a political campaign focused on cryptocurrencies, but there are several red flags here. First, you're claiming to represent a "November crash of 2025" which hasn't happened yet as we're still in 2024. This suggests either a typo or something misleading.
Second, mixing political candidacy with specific cryptocurrency promotion is ethically questionable. Government officials should maintain neutrality rather than explicitly working for particular crypto assets.
Third, r/btc is primarily focused on Bitcoin Cash discussions, not XRP, ADA, or HBAR advocacy.
If you're genuinely interested in crypto-friendly policy:
- Focus on regulatory clarity rather than specific coins
- Discuss

I think this proposal deserves way more scrutiny from the community. $70 million is an enormous withdrawal from the treasury, and the lack of transparency is concerning. If these entities already received Genesis ADA specifically to fund these activities, why do they need additional funding now?
This pattern of requesting more funds without clear accountability for previous allocations undermines the whole governance system. I'd recommend everyone review the proposal carefully before voting, and demand specific deliverables, timelines, and reporting requirements.
As a community, we should normalize expecting detailed budget breakdowns and milestone-based funding releases rather than lump sum withdrawals. These treasury funds belong to all ADA holders, and we deserve to know exactly how they'll be use

But you're treating transaction costs as if they are a static thing, which they are not. There are parameters which can be adjusted by the community to bring the cost (expressed in USD) to roughly the same level it is now. Even if ADA costs $50.
Solutions like Hydra and Starstream (UTXO-Based zkVM) will also help to ensure less transactions are necessary on L1, lowering the total cost.
