I have a bunch of useless NFT’s and tokens just sitting in my wallet taking up ADA. Some of them are and have been listed on jpg for awhile now. My issue is, I don’t have enough ADA left to unlist them or send anything anywhere. Would it even be worth it to get more ADA to be able to delist and ditch all the junk? Or am I better off just hodling the junk and leave it be? I may have follow up questions…

> But isn’t the demand is mainly of not only from transactions since it’s a utility token?
No, and ETH isn't a utility token, it's exactly the same as BTC, just for Ethereum. The main driver for demand for ETH is for staking and as collateral or trading pair in DeFi. The amount paid in fees can hardly be measured compared to the demand for using the token on the network.
>And if the price does increase couldn’t someone like SOL or ADA or anyone steal market share?
If they could, wouldn't they have done so by now? It's always been cheaper to use ADA and SOL, so why are people paying a premium to use Ethereum you think? It's because Ethereum offers substantially better security and decentralization and robustness.
> I mean what’s ETHs moat? It’s not really decentralized, who even runs a ETH node and its centrally controlled by big V
Ethereum is by far the most decentralized blockchain, like by a billion miles, so I don't even know what you're talking about. And I think neither do you. Unless you're trolling ;D

But isn’t the demand is mainly of not only from transactions since it’s a utility token? I mean it’s not like Bitcoin trying to be money.
Of costs goes down, meaning less eth is needed wouldn’t that keep the price somewhat stable?

I’ve held for 5 years, and for the first time during those 5 years, my conviction started to wane during the last couple of weeks. Not in the tech, but in whether the market was ever going to value the tech. So I did my first deep dive in quite some time on Cardano a couple of days ago with an open mind, and my conviction has never been stronger.
- the main underlying structure is complete now
- interoperability and real world application is now high priority, with the potential for ADA to be used to earn yield on bitcoin - which would be a huge attractor to both bitcoin and a huge catalyst for ADA demand from retail investors all the way to large bag holding institutions and treasury companies.
- oracles are essential for integration of crypto tech use cases into real world data, and it looks as though Cardano is leaning towards interoperability/ partnership with chainlink or one of their competitors instead of building from scratch, which I think is a good thing as we don’t have the time to fiddle with that, and we wouldn’t have the oracles reputation that chainlink has
- midnight will start thawing in just a few weeks - and it’s random release will hopefully prevent a pump and dump scenario. Midnight has the potential to help all kinds of businesses, basically any business that stores customer data and/or processes transactions (ie every business) through zero proof transactions. All of the cyber crime and money being poured into cyber defence, it’s quite feasible with a bit of publicity, some regulatory clarity and a proof of concept that this could really take off. This would again fuel demand for ADA itself
- the clarity act should make its way through in the next month or two, it’s only a matter of time before US gov opens up again, and jobs data etc. starts being released again- this will have a risk-on effect in general
- possibly the most bullish thing I read the other night is that Charles, who used to get visibly angry any time anyone asked about progress speed or token prices, has been acknowledging the need to pick up the pace now that the basics are largely built, and he’s started to talk about pricing forecasts- I don’t put any stock in his pricing forecasts, but the fact he is recognising these 2 key community concerns is in my opinion super bullish, it means we’re finally being led by someone who’s goals align with most of ours.
I’ve been holding and accumulating since the beginning of 2021, I was up about 30% somewhere in 2021 before spending most of 2022-2024 down around 50%. In December last year after some heavy 2022-2023 accumulation I was up over 200% despite some expensive $2+ buys in 2021. I’m currently up 1.5%, so I feel the pain as well, but after my updated reading the other night, I’m sticking around - and I do believe there is real utility coming, or at least a favourable risk/ reward ratio of real utility coming

Actually, ADA was almost at the all time low (just bounced hard). The market just needs an excuse to pump, and the ETF is a good excuse.

People are so obsessed with cycles. Yes, all assets tend to follow 4 year economic cycles on performance. Not just l1s. All that means is you reduce some exposure by taking profits when things are doing well and buy back as they drop lower.
Nothing is ever over if the asset is Bitcoin, any L1 with real activity & scalable revenue, or any company with scalable revenue. Buy low. Sell high. Stop fearing whatever the current boogeyman narrative is unless the asset isn't backed by users and acts more like a meme.
Those meme like assets with 0 users actually have no fundamental reason to go back up. That should scare you. Bitcoin is the only publicly managed currency that gets a pass on this, because the world actually values it as currency/SOV. XRP, HBAR, ADA and all the other 0 user stuff this sub holds doesn't get the same privilege.

You don't really think that you doing a shill like that will have any effect on a 21 billion market cap coin like ADA

I had 60,000 ADA, sold them at $0.08... it then went parabolic to $3. Currently sitting at like $0.50. Still pains me to this day, makes me a little sick thinking about it.

I’ll be brutally honest: nobody that matters will give the slightest shit about Cardano if ADA continues to bleed price. It’s just a sad reality of the state of crypto as a whole.

ADA will not do anything if the market is down. It totally depends on btc.
Its not special when it comes to price and it definitely wont give as much returns as some other big coins

I bought a bunch of chainlink at ICO, around 0.30c from memory, also had millions of ADA at 0.02c, I sold it all for a 200% profit thinking I was a genius at the time. LOL
