Yes, an ACH hold prevents withdrawal of the Bitcoin you purchased, as protection for the exchange against ACH-reversal fraud
> not one person ever mentioned this was a thing
It's discussed here several times every week

ACH hold. Use wire transfer for no delay.

Besides the potential issues with ACH, has anyone else experienced wire transfers deposit not being credited due to this issue? Yesterday I made a wire transfer, which usually arrives the same day, but it's been over 12 hours since the expected time, and it still hasn't been credited to my account. I'm wondering if this is related to this issue?

Confirmed, I tested setting up another ACH sweep in, it totally said that. I just blew it off last time.

I set up a new Kraken account and bought a small amount of BTC on Kraken two days ago. My cold wallet came in today and I set it up and carefully watched several videos of how to send BTC from my Kraken account to my wallet. I selected withdrawal, carefully copied my receiving address from my wallet app into a withdrawal account and everything looked fine. But the blue review button was grayed out. I actually tried two different receiving addresses (for some reason my wallet app set up two BTC accounts). I got the little notice that I needed to withdraw a minimum of .0002 and I had way more than that to withdraw. I did Google that ACH holds do exist and thought that might be the problem, but my deposit cleared already and I thought those holds were for deposits only. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Any advice appreciated!
(If it's an ACH hold causing it, I can say after about 25 hours of general research, not one person ever mentioned this was a thing. Not to mention half the videos I watched were only a few months old and the interface was already different on Kraken.)

Because ACH transactions take several days to clear. Some exchanged will let you withdraw a certain amount while it’s still processing once you have enough history, but they’re taking a risk by doing that.
If you are buying larger amounts and want the funds available immediately, use a wire transfer.

Your ACH will have a tracking ID - of all the shady things in Crypto, an ACH FIAT transfer is probably the easiest to resolve.

Yea this is bullsht. Makes me think they're purposefully holding the current portfolio values for the sake of valuation their IPO or something. Every single crypto deposit or withdrawal is disabled including ACH transfers. Ridiculous. Getting really tired of mining and bringing freshly mi Ted coins into the ecosystem, just to get shit on by centralized exchanges and barriers to entry via fiat institutions. You'd think with all the buzz around crypto policies recently this wouldn't be happening...perhaps I'm being naive

The pharmaceutical industry's payment systems just got a blockchain transfusion. Wellgistics Health— serving 6,500+ U.S. pharmacies-launched an XRP-powered payment program that cuts transaction times from days to seconds while dodging traditional banking fees. This isn't a pilot; it's a full-scale deployment with teeth.
How It Works
• RERP integration: Handles onboarding and compliance, ensuring HIPAA/AML adherence while pharmacies tap into instant XRP settlements.
• Cost slasher: Replaces credit card fees and ACH delays with $0.0002 transactions, boosting profit margins for independent pharmacies.
• Next-phase plans: Onboarding drug manufacturers and rolling out direct-to-patient XRP
payments (think: Amazon Prime for prescriptions). Some food for thought.

What's the benefit of having a bunch of bag holders if the team has assigned all of the tokens to Keeta, Inc. (meaning 40% of the token supply can never be sold)? Why would Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, personally introduce Keeta to the Google Cloud team to serve as a partner and prove that the chain is capable of processing over 10M TPS? Why would Ty Schenk, the CEO of Keeta, be invited to speak at SALT Wyoming on the same stage as people like Eric Trump, Cynthia Lummis, and Chris Waller (among other very prominent figures in the industry)?
I don't disagree that we are still in a speculation phase but Mainnet is right around the corner along with multiple partnerships that will be announced with Mainnet or shortly after (all of whom we've been told are large institutional companies - rumors surround Visa, Bank of America, Citi, etc.). I think another thing you are also overlooking is with respect to DSO (how long corporations wait to get paid). Keeta's tech allows companies with payments that traditionally took weeks to clear to be executed in milliseconds. No clearing houses, no waiting on ACH windows, no floating funds in limbo.
Just to put this into context, Apple has a DSO of roughly 30 days and in 2023 generated \~$394B in revenue. With a DSO of \~30 days, that's \~$32B stuck in receivables at any given time. Even with Apple's credit profile, financing $32B carries with it opportunity cost, interest rates, and exposure to market risk. Having a solution that can immediately shorten this to milliseconds would allow companies to free up large amounts of working capital instantly, a massive competitive advantage.
If you're not interested in the project, so be it. Happy to circle back with you in the coming months and if I'm wrong I'll be happy to admit it. I hope you would grant me the same type of courtesy. Cheers.

ACH/EFT did require Plaid unfortunately.  I only tested a $1 transaction to see if it would work.  Wires cost $25.
