Yeah it’s kind of the way these things roll. Not sure your familiar with FOLD there awesome if you want more Bitcoin and I have referral in my bio if interested check them out. They have a credit card coming this fall 2% flat everything no categories and visa network - but currently only a visa debit that earns Bitcoin(only Bitcoin) on everything including ACH bill pay. Meaning you can use a normal credit card and then use your bank account (linked to Fold debit card) and stack rewards by paying your bills with the linked ACH on the debit.

Why would you or I use a Debit Card or a Credit Card to pay off or make a down payment on a whole vehicle? Make a wire or ACH transfer from the App. Use the card to buy mudflaps and stuff.

I’m with you on interoperability, XRPL liquidity pools adding value, and ETH fees being a non-issue for big transfers.
Where I push back a bit is on two things:
1. Banks already run on a mix of rails like SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, SEPA, and CHIPS. So the idea that there has to be just one global network doesn’t really line up with reality.
2. It doesn’t take decades for dominant players to lose ground. Visa and Mastercard are still huge, but look how fast Apple Pay, Alipay, and UPI carved out some serious space.

Check and ACH are the best options for large amounts up to $50k. Above that amount, I usually use Cashier's checks, which is perfectly fine for sending millions of dollars.

It's either a same day wire for a fee, or ACH that takes 2-3 days. You pick.

He is referring to debit card purchase there is no hold basically, only ACH transaction will be held until funds to be fully cleared.

Crypto.com does and was great, unfortunately when I won $30k gambling I cashed it out and slowly made a lot of crypto purchases and they banned me from buying anymore lol. I can still use the wallets and ACH withdrawal

It also prevents people from submitting an ACH, buying bitcoin and sending to their wallet and then canceling the ACH before it clears.

This is how all places are unless you push the money (wire).
Credit transactions and ACH are essentially requests/promises for settlement. The actual settlement doesn't occur until later. Until the tx is settled in the traditional system, the money isn't yours.

And why not ACH, zelle or wire transfer?
